
Nexba
How can something with zero sugar taste so good? Nexba has the answer. After a trip to Mexico, founders Drew and Troy were fed up with all the junk in iced teas and decided to create their own. That’s when Nexba, the Bondi-born brand, was born, drawing inspiration from a beach in Mexico for its name. Nexba made a name for itself in the kombucha and iced tea world and wanted to expand into other categories.
Our mission was to help them transition seamlessly into new categories while keeping the personality and fun intact for their loyal Nexba fans. We needed to design a pack architecture that could work across various categories, from kombucha and sodas to non-alcoholic seltzers and tonic water. Each category has its own visual language, so creating a flexible yet consistent design was the challenge.
Throughout the project, we explored different pack designs for each category that still met Nexba’s needs. Once we had the pack architecture nailed, we moved on to the illustrations. We looked at styles that matched each category, ensuring that each product line could have its own unique illustration style while still feeling like part of the Nexba family. We also worked on icons and the back-of-pack layout, collaborating with the client to pick the perfect colour for each variant.
